Every so often I like to throw in a contest I’ve found…maybe you can win $10,000 from Brylane Home! You can enter once a day, through March 27th.

Spending a few minutes a day/week entering contests can be an easy way to save money. If you win something once in a while, you could end up with cash, a trip, or something else that you might have otherwise eventually bought.

Last year, Coke had a contest online during the Olympics where you would win 5 bottles of 2 liter Coke products each time the United States won an event you were assigned. You got a new event each day you entered and the United States ended up winning quite a few medals. We ended up with 31 coupons and 165 bottles of soda.

These contests are easy to enter – most of the time, you must enter your name and address the first time you play, but from then on you only need to use your email address, so it is nice and quick. We have won a few small prizes, such as water bottles, t-shirts, board games, soda etc. But just a few months ago I won a contest where I received a 5-piece clothing set worth $325. What surprised me, was it was a daily contest, and I had only entered it the one time out of the month and a half it was up. This shows that even just a few minutes a week entering your name and address can win you some great prizes!

Not all of them are as great as the Coke contest, but we are going to start putting in a few contests in each newsletter…who knows, maybe you will win something big! If not, you will probably at least win a few small items. We will try to include when the contest runs until, and what type of contest it is. Some you just enter in once and that’s it, while others you can enter every day. Many of the daily contests will let you know right away if you’ve won, so there is no waiting!

There are contests out there for all sorts of things, from a new house to a dream trip, to a free drink. We will try to include a little of everything, so you have a chance to win all different types of prizes. Just to show how easy it is, as I was typing up the contests to be put into a newsletter a few months ago, I won a free Dr. Pepper from the Chick-fil-a contest! Not too bad. They sent it in the mail, and then the next time I was in the area, I got a free drink. It only took about 30 seconds to enter the contest, so it was definitely worth the time. Good Luck!

The funny part is, I have no idea where I won the contest from! I have a vague memory of entering a contest that had to do with these products, but don’t remember specifically where. So now in a little over a week, I’ve won 2 contests. Not bad at all for a few minutes of time!

All together, they have a retail price of $325. I got them in black. I had a choice between that or red, and figured I would get more use out of it in black. While I’m not sure yet exactly how they will look on me (even though I got a medium it looks huge!), I am still very excited about winning.

So for anyone who thinks that entering a daily contest only one time isn’t even worth it…it turns out you can still win!

Once in a while, I will spend a few minutes entering an online contest. This is very rarely though. Guess what happened? I got a phone call a few minutes ago, and I won one of the Woman’s Day contests! I won a 5 piece Norma Kamali Timeless collection set! It’s supposed to be pieces of clothing that can be worn together and in many different ways so that one piece can really be multiple outfits. I’ll let everyone know when I get it!

Considering I spend maybe 10 minutes a week entering contests, this was very exciting! I’m thinking of adding contests to the Dreamline Savings newsletter so that others can spend just a few minutes and maybe win something as well! Let me know what you think.
