If you’ve looked for ways to make extra money online, one way you’ve probably heard come up a lot is answering surveys. The truth is, it is possible to make money online answering surveys, but it isn’t always as easy as you think.
Once you are signed up to a survey site (like Your2Cents), you will get an email when a new survey becomes available. Then, you will click on the link provided in your email, and answer a few questions. If you are part of their target market, you will then get offered the survey. In that case, you will earn some money once you finish the survey. If you don’t fit their target market after answering the first, shorter survey, you will get nothing, and will have to wait until the next time a survey comes out.
So as you can see, it is very possible to earn some money taking these surveys. You just have to understand that you won’t always be able to complete every survey that gets emailed to you.
Your2Cents is one of the survey companies that I have been signed up with for a while, and get emails from them regularly…so I know that they are a legitimate company. The amount they offer varies per survey, but it is nice to know that they give more when it is a longer survey.

What would you do for $4,000? An extra $4,000 is a lot of money, and can do a lot of things. You could easily pay for a few months of your house or apartment, or go on a really great vacation (with money left over), or buy a big screen TV, and more! The question is, how far would you go to get it?
Before I went away, I read an article about making $4,000 if you agree to get malaria. No, I’m not kidding. The article talks about how if you are willing to get bitten by mosquitoes and contract malaria, that you would get $4,000 for your troubles.
They go on to let you know that they will cure you, they just want to test what vaccines work the fastest.
Well, when you look at it, you’re really just giving up a few days of your life so that they can do this and supervise you in a hotel while all of this is going on…but there’s just something about it that makes me say NO thanks!
I of course would love an extra $4,000…don’t get me wrong, but to me it just isn’t worth it.
This is where every person is different. Some people would be willing to go a lot further to get money than others. Also, what is “going a lot further” to one person is nothing to another!
I’m sure some people read this same article and were excited at the chance, and didn’t have any issues with it at all, while others like me, thought that it just wasn’t worth it, and will pass on it.
So when you see someone doing something they think is an “easy way” to get money, and works well for them, it doesn’t always have to mean it’s right for you!

At the end of February, I had a post about how I earned $30.00 in Amazon Gift Certificates through BzzAgent’s Frogpond by writing a few articles about travel. Well, I just checked my account, and the codes for all $30.00 are there!
You stil have time to join and write your articles so that you will also get $30.00 in Amazon Gift Certificates.
This is a perfect amount too, since once you spend at least $25.00 you won’t have to pay for shipping…so you can get $30.00 worth of almost anything just for spending a little bit of time posting about some recent vacations.
I just wanted to share, so that if anyone was waiting until someone actually got the gift certificates, you would know that they do come!

If you have been trying to come up with a new way to make a little bit of extra money, you might be in luck. If you’re artistic and like creating things for others, you can sell those items, and make some money!
The site is called Etsy, and it’s a site where you can buy and sell all items that are homemade. Here are just a few categories of things you can sell:
- Bags and Purses
- Candles
- Art
- Clothing
- Glass
- Jewelry
- Woodworking
- …and a lot more
Your first question is probably - how much will this cost? Well, they’re pretty good! It’s only $0.20 to list an item. With that listing you get up to 5 images, and the item will stay up for 4 months. Once the item sells, you pay a 3.5% fee. That’s it. Everything else that’s left is all yours. As long as what you make has a decent profit, you should be able to make a good bit of extra money!
Plus, if you are making these homemade things, most likely you enjoy doing it. It’s always great to be able to make money doing something you enjoy!

I’ve mentioned BzzAgent before. They’re a great company where you get a chance to test products, and buzz about them - good or bad. In the past I’ve buzzed about my Sonicare Toothbrush and Sanitizer (which I absolutely LOVE and would never get another toothbrush), Listerine Whitening Strips, Perfumes, and a lot more.
Well, they also have what is called the “Frogpond”, where you can take a look at some really cool websites, and post your thoughts about them.
BzzAgent is having a GREAT promotion right now. If you go through their link to take a look at a website called GoneGoing, and post 3 articles, you can earn $30.00 in Amazon Gift Certificates.
GoneGoing is a travel website where people post about different places they’ve been. You can search these articles to figure out where you want to travel, or you can post your own.
Through March 31st, if you create an account with them using this link, you will be able to get $10.00 for each article that you write (up to 3) about a recent trip that has at least 200 words, and 4 pictures. Isn’t that a great and easy way to earn a little extra money? You can buy almost anything on Amazon, so you will easily be able to spend it!
It’s also fun to talk about a vacation you’ve taken, so it hardly feels like work…at least to me! I have already signed up, and will be posting my 3 articles today. Enjoy!!

Here is another way you can earn a little extra money - if you have a blog. It’s called Pay Per Post, and payperpost does exactly what it sounds like. They pay you for posting on your blog about certain companies. Now, while this sounds like a great simple way to make money - you just have to post to your blog about a specific company or topic, I will caution that turning your blog into as many of these posts as possible will do nothing but lose all of your readers!!
There are some great things about this company though. If you can find opportunities that complement what you are already posting about, you will now be able to get paid for some of these posts. Another thing I really like is that you must say on the post that the post is sponsored. I like this so that no one has to worry that they can’t believe anything that they read on blogs anymore, wondering if the person is getting paid for it. You’ll know just by reading it. Another great thing is that you can post your honest opinions with most of these posts! So if you don’t like something, you can say it.
While this is my first post for them, I have been watching some other blogs that use them for a while, and like the mix of things you can post about. So far I really like their interface. It’s nice and easy! You can easily search for earning opportunities, and choose what you like. They also make it very clear exactly what you need to do in order to get paid for the post.
While you won’t become rich using them, if you do a few posting opportunities a week, you can easily earn a little extra spending money. It also doesn’t take too much time to do it, so you’re earning money without having to spend a lot of time - which of course is something else I like!

If you’re looking for an easy way to make some extra money, one way is to sell something that you don’t use anymore but that others would like. This works very well with clothes because as well all know, our tastes change over time, and that shirt that we absolutely HAD to buy…well…once we got it home it might have been worn once, if at all.As much as I hate to say it, almost all of us have clothes that we are done wearing, whether we have worn them to death, or haven’t even worn once.
It’s the clothes that haven’t been worn, or have been worn a few times but are still in great shape that can help you make some money.
You can sell some of these clothes, and get a little extra money. What are the best ways to do this?
The way to get the most people seeing what your selling would be to sell it on eBay. People all over the world would be able to see and bid on your item of clothing. If you take a nice picture of it, you could probably get a good amount of money for it. Especially if it’s a highly sought after brand name.
If you don’t want to worry about shipping anything, try your local consignment shop. Just go to Google and search for a consignment shop in your area. The way they usually work is if they sell your item, you get 50% of the profits, and they get to keep the other half. If you don’t want to have to do anything but drop the items off, this is a great way to sell your items!
Of course, a garage sale will also work, but know that when people go to a garage sale they expect to get really good prices, so you won’t get too much for your clothes. But if you want to get rid of them fast and easy, a garage sale is a good way to go.
If you still haven’t been able to find a way to get rid of the clothes you no longer want but are in good shape, always consider donating them. While you won’t make any money off of it, you can get a deduction on your taxes which will help you down the road.

We use
Blingo when doing searches on the Internet. They use Google to do their searches, so we get the same results as if we had gone to Google ourselves. What’s the benefit to using Blingo then? You can win prizes when you use Blingo. For the first 10 searches that you do each day, you’re eligible to win a prize! There are free movie tickets, amazon gift certificates, visa gift cards, and more.
While we only won a $5.00 gift card this time, in the past we have won a $25.00 Visa gift card, a $50.00 Amazon gift card, and more.
If you’re going to do a search on Google, you might as well go through Blingo and take the chance of getting something for free out of it!

I’m sure you’ve seen the pop-ups promising you a free XBOX 360, and all you have to do is enter your email address, or a free $200 gift card to your favorite retail store if you just answer a quick survey on what your favorite restaurant is. Most likely you have, since they are everywhere, and if you are like me, you probably thought it was a scam. I mean, how on earth could you get something worth $50 - $1,000 for free? It just doesn’t make sense.
Well, I can tell you now from personal experience that it does work. The reason I can say this is that I decided on May 2nd 2007 that I was going to do one of these offers, and then October 9th 2007, I was finally able to hold the gift card in my hand. How did I do this? Let me explain…
First off, I would have never done it if I hadn’t seen someone else start the process and be confident about it. A blogger that I enjoy reading (Money Dummy) decided to do it, and since I completely trust her judgment, a month later I decided to try as well. I knew going into it that I would have to complete 4 different offers, and that it would cost me money, but I knew how to go about doing it so that I would eventually get the gift card…and here is what you need to know if you’re thinking about trying it.
1. Pick a legitimate company/brand. If you like an offer, make sure that they have given out gift cards in the past. I used YourTopBrands, and was very happy with them. They also work under the name Brandarama, as well as a few others.
2. Make sure you do all of the offers you are supposed to. For example, in mine I had to do 4 offers – 1 from each page. If I had done 2 from one of the pages, and 2 from another, I wouldn’t have completed the offer, and wouldn’t have gotten the gift card. Make sure you follow the directions exactly.
3. Look at the offer choices, and see what makes sense for you. Personally, I liked an offer that was a $0.99 30-day trial to a music site. It was very little money, and I could easily cancel out of it. I also tried to find offers that I would actually use (although that didn’t happen in every case), but I wanted to make sure I was spending as little out of pocket as possible, while doing an offer that would be done quickly and easily.
4. Make sure you cancel out of whatever you have to! Many of the offers you will be able to choose from will be some sort of monthly program, or trial, where after 30 days you will get billed again. Make sure you write down the date you did the offer, and when you must cancel by, and make sure you do cancel by that date.
5. Every time you do an offer, take a screen shot showing that you completed it. For example if you had to sign up to a website, take a screen shot of the page that says welcome with your name on it. This will help if your offer doesn’t show up as completed within the given timeframe. If you can send them the screen shot, you can help prove that you did complete the offer.
6. Save any emails that you get from the offers you complete. Again, this will help you prove that you did join or purchase what you needed to in order to complete the offer. So if the company you did the offer for doesn’t get back to the gift card company, you can email them with your email and screen shot, and prove that it should be listed as complete.
7. Once all of your offers are complete, you will have to send them a form saying that you want the gift card and that you completed all the offers. It’s a really simple form; you just print it out and write your name and address on it. Make sure you not only send them this form, but also go to the post office and send it certified mail (and if you’d like, also get a return receipt). This will make sure that you know they received it, and can prove that it was sent as well. This will also (in my opinion) make them take you seriously so that they can’t just easily “lose” your form and forget about you.
8. Keep reminding them you are waiting. Once your status is confirmed, they usually say the wait is 4-6 weeks. After about 4 weeks or so, start either emailing or calling them every 2-3 weeks, just asking the status of the card. It does seem that they are always backlogged as far as shipping the gift cards, but it does remind them that you are still there, and are still waiting.
9. Be prepared to wait. I started the process on May 2nd and all of my offers were completed and confirmed within a week. I mailed the form on May 21st (within a few days after being able to print the form out and mail), and the website changed my status to “Status is Confirmed; to be Shipped” on June 18th. I did not receive the gift card until October 9th.
Here are a few more helpful tips when trying to decide on an offer. The bigger the gift card, the more offers you will have to complete to get them. For example, you might only need one or two small offers for a $100 gift card, but you’ll have to do bigger offers (and more of them) for a $500 or $1,000 gift card. As long as you keep on top of everything, you shouldn’t have a problem, and things should go smoothly. Every time I emailed customer support, I got a response within 24 hours.
Yes, I had to wait 5 full months from the time I started the offer until I had the gift card in my hands, but was it worth it? Of course! Overall, I ended up spending less than $50.00, and less than an hour of my time, and got $1,000 in return for it. Would I do it again? You bet. I plan on finding another offer to start next!
Since I have used this company before and know that they are trustworthy, I thought I’d share a few of their current offers. I will be doing one of them, just don’t know which yet.
